Celebrate Language Day – September 6th
Languages are at the heart of our daily lives, shaping our identities and connecting us to one another. Language Day – September 6th is a special occasion that honors the diversity and significance of languages across the globe.
Established by the United Nations in 1999, Language Day is a global observance dedicated to promoting linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as multilingualism. It reflects the United Nations’ core belief that protecting linguistic diversity and fostering multilingualism strengthens all human rights.
On this day, individuals, organizations, and governments unite to celebrate the beauty of all languages and to reflect on the importance of preserving and promoting them for future generations.
