Celebrating Tihar – The Festival of Lights
Tihar, also known as Deepavali or Diwali, is one of the most vibrant and widely celebrated Hindu festivals. Spanning five days, it honors the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. While Tihar is celebrated across South Asia, it holds particular significance in Nepal and India. The festival typically falls between October and November, aligning with the fifteenth day of Kartik in the Hindu lunar calendar. This year, Tihar will be observed from November 5th to 9th, with each day marked by unique rituals and cultural traditions.
