Celebrate Mother’s Day with love, joy, and gratitude

Every second Sunday in February, we honour the special bond between mothers and their children. Mother’s Day is a time to show our appreciation for all that mothers do for us and to celebrate the strong, loving women who have raised us. Modern Mother’s Day officially began in the early 1900s, when Anna Jarvis campaigned for a day to recognize and appreciate mothers.

The official Mother’s Day was first celebrated in 1908, and has since become a widely recognized holiday around the world.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries, but the sentiment is universal – to show love and appreciation for our mothers.

Many countries celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in February, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.

In the United Kingdom, Mother’s Day is referred to as ‘Mothering Sunday’ and is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent.

In Mexico, Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 10th each year.

Many families celebrate Mother’s Day by giving gifts, cards, or flowers to their mothers.

Another popular tradition is to take our mothers out to their favourite restaurant for a special meal, or to cook a special meal for them at home.

Mother’s Day is also a time to remember and honour mothers who are no longer with us, and to cherish the memories we have with them.

On this day, we also extend our gratitude and appreciation to all the mother figures in our lives, including grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and friends.
