In 1989, President Corazon Aquino moved the celebration to the fourth Monday of August through Proclamation No. 374. However, in 2017, President Rodrigo Duterte reinstated the observance of National Heroes Day on November 30. Despite these changes, the day remains a vital occasion to recognize the valor and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes.
