16-May International Day of Living Together on Peace Day:
Background:
The demolition of the Second World War, the United Nations, was set up to save succeeding ages from the scourge of war. One of its motivations is to accomplish worldwide participation in tackling global issues, including advancing and empowering regard for common liberties. And for fundamental freedom for all without differentiation as to race, sex, language or religion.
In 1997, the General-Assembly announced – by its goal 52/15 — the year 2000 as the “Global Year for a Culture of Peace”. In 1998, it announced the period 2001-2010 as the “Global Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for Children of the World.”
In 1999, The General-Assembly adopted, by resolution 53/243, the Declaration and Program of Action on a Culture of Peace. Especially the United Nations framework, to advance a culture of harmony and peacefulness that helps all of humankind, including people, in the future.
Proclamation Of the Day:
To live respectively in harmony is tied in with tolerating contrasts and being able to pay attention. To perceive, regard and, like others, just as living in a serene and joined manner.
The UN General-Assembly, in its goal 72/130, announced 16 May the International Day of Living Together in Peace. To routinely prepare the endeavors of the global local area to advance harmony, resistance, incorporation, comprehension and fortitude. The Day expects to maintain the craving to live and act together, joined in contrasts and variety, to construct a supportable universe of harmony, fortitude and concordance.
Benefits Of the Day:
