17-April World Hemophilia Day:

World Haemophilia Day is held each year on 17 April. The day, committed to human beings dwelling with haemophilia, is observed to elevate awareness and create a better destiny for them. Hemophilia is a “rare disease” in which “blood doesn’t clot as it lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins”. World Haemophilia Day is now acknowledged worldwide for better diagnosis and get entry to special care. World Hemophilia Day is set bringing people, with bleeding issues, always close.

History of the Day:

World Haemophilia Day became started in 1989 through the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). They selected 17 April as the day to bring the community together in honour of WFH founder Frank Schnabel’s birthday.

Theme of the Day:

This year the theme of World Haemophilia Day is “Adapting to Change”. In the pandemic, simplest one aspect appears to be consistent. This is adapting oneself to the new normal, and the pandemic is posing more challenges for everybody who needs emergency medical care.
