14-January World Logic Day:
Proclamation of the Day:
World Logic Day is an international day announced by UNESCO. With association of the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH) in November 2019, to be celebrated on 14 January each year. It become first celebrated on 14 January 2019, before the UNESCO assertion. World Logic Day intends to convey the highbrow history, conceptual significance and sensible implications of common sense to the attention of interdisciplinary technology groups and the broader public.
On 26 November 2019, the 40th General Conference of UNESCO proclaimed 14 January to be World Logic Day. A global day of supporting the development of logic through teaching and research, as well as to public dissemination of the discipline. The date chosen to celebrate World Logic Day, 14 January, corresponds to death of Kurt Gödel and the date of birth of Alfred Tarski. They both were the most prominent logicians of the twentieth century.
People of different cultures:
The potential to suppose is one of the maximum defining features of humankind. In different cultures, they associate the definition of humanity, which is attention, expertise, and reason. According to the conventional western culture, they describe people as “rational” or “logical animals”. Many civilizations in history have studied common sense and, seeing that its earliest formulations, moral judgment has performed a vital role within the development of philosophy and the sciences.
Despite its undeniable relevance to the development of information, sciences, and technologies, there is little public recognition of the significance of logic. The proclamation of World Logic Day by UNESCO, in association with the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH), intends to convey the intellectual records, conceptual importance.
Purpose of the celebration of World Logic Day:
A dynamic and worldwide celebration of World Logic Day aims at fostering worldwide cooperation, promoting the development of logic, in both research and coaching. The celebration of World Logic Day also can contribute to the promotion of a tradition of peace, communication and mutual understanding, primarily based on the development of training and technological understanding.
